Plain terms for a simple app.

In one paragraph. CleanCut is a tool that suggests photos you might want to remove and lets you search your library. You make every deletion decision. Similarity results are suggestions, not proof. The unlock is a one-time purchase through Apple. We are not liable for photos you choose to delete.

1. Agreement

By downloading or using CleanCut (the "App") you agree to these terms and to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which applies where these terms are silent. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Licence

We grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, or redistribute the App except as the law allows.

3. What the App does and does not promise

The App identifies exact copies by comparing the original files, and identifies "similar" or "likely" items using on-device image analysis. Similarity, clutter, blur, receipt, code and face suggestions are estimates and can be wrong.
The App never deletes anything on its own. Items are moved to Recently Deleted only after you select them and confirm Apple's system prompt. Storage is reclaimed when you empty Recently Deleted.
Face suggestions are visual rankings you confirm or reject. The App makes no identity claim about any person.
The App uses only the photos you allow through the iOS Photos permission.

4. Your responsibility

You are responsible for reviewing every item before you move it and for keeping backups of photos that matter to you. Check Recently Deleted before emptying it. The App is not a backup tool.

5. Purchases

The App is free to scan, review and search. Moving photos to Recently Deleted requires a single non-consumable in-app purchase ("CleanCut Lifetime"). Prices are shown in your local currency in the App Store. Apple is the merchant of record and handles billing, receipts and refunds. Restore Purchases reinstates the unlock on any device signed into the same Apple Account at no additional charge. Family Sharing may be enabled at our discretion.

6. Refunds

Refunds for in-app purchases are decided by Apple under its policies. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. We will help where we can if you contact aiethereals@gmail.com.

7. No accounts, no data

The App has no accounts and collects no personal data. See the Privacy Policy. Because there is no account, there is nothing to cancel or delete on our side; uninstalling the App removes all of its data from your device.

8. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The App is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, and we are not liable for any loss of photos, data, or storage, or for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of the App, including from photos you chose to delete. Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under consumer law that cannot be excluded, including the Australian Consumer Law where it applies. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the App.

9. Changes and termination

We may update the App and these terms. Material changes will be dated on this page. We may end your licence if you breach these terms. You can end it at any time by deleting the App.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Australia, without affecting mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
